Preliminary findings of medico-legal claims probe to be released

JOHANNESBURG – Preliminary findings of a multi-billion rand investigation into medico-legal claims will be released on Thursday.
The investigation followed an explosion of claims against health departments in various provinces.
It’s believed there is mass corruption, fraud and maladministration in the sector.
President Cyril Ramaphosa authorised the SIU to investigate the allegations in 2022.
Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi and the Special Investigating Unit will release the findings.
